I'm pretty curious 'bout David Simon's new HBO series spotlighting New Orleans musicians post-Katrina (Simon's Homicide remains one of my all-time favorite books). On the subject of New Orleans, just got around to hearing Tom Wait's contribution to the Preservation Hall benefit album: "Tootie Ma Is a Big Fine Thing." Well done.
