I'm not usually one for tribute records, but the recent compilation "Sonic Cathedral'. a bunch of folks covering Roky Erickson and the 13th Floor Elevators is a great listen. Maybe because I love the songs so much and Roky's songwriting is so darn good... The cream of the crop is this one by Le Volume Courbe who I have never heard of.... greeeaaaat shit.
